  37. 1)    Make sure you define the port, ie SET PORT COM3:
  38. 2)    Make sure you define the speed, ie SET SPEED 9600
  39.  
  40. Then CONNECT.  This should get you to a full page blank screen.  At
  41. this point, I suggest the first thing you do is ATE1 so that whatever
  42. you type is echoed.
